Abu came into our rescue program on May 28, 2019. Abu came into our rescue program from the City of Choctaw and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office along with 22 other horses and Donkeys as a cruelty case. Sadly, one died the night before the seizure, despite our best efforts to save her. She was reportedly down for more than 10 hours, before we got the call. Abu is a Beautiful, Black, Arabian, Stud. Abu is estimated to be 18 years of age. Abu is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Abu is emaciated with a body score of a 1. He was Infested with internal/external parasites and anemic. Abu was extremely week upon arrival. We had to closely monitor him for the first 30 days. He is slowly getting stronger by each day. Abu has a long road ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Update September 2020 Abu is seeking a forever loving home to call his own. Abu is super sweet and loves attention. He has been gelded and is now 19 years old. He stands at 14.2 hands tall. We do not believe Abu to be broke to ride. He stood to be tacked up but did not want anyone climbing in the saddle. He may need some time and some refresher courses and do well but we are adopting him out as untrained. He will make a great companion horse. He gets along well with others. Abu stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Abu has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance.
