Bell came into our rescue program on May 28, 2019. Bell came into our rescue program from the City of Choctaw and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office along with 22 other horses and Donkeys as a cruelty case. Sadly, one died the night before the seizure, despite our best efforts to save her. She was reportedly down for more than 10 hours, before we got the call. Bell is a Beautiful, Bay, Arabian, Mare. Bell is estimated to be 25 years of age. Bell is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Bell is emaciated with a body score of a 1. She was Infested with internal/external parasites and anemic. Bell has a grade 2 systolic heart murmur, which is common for severely neglected/starved horses. It just proves how much their body has to work to try and survive when they are starved. Bell was extremely week upon arrival. She would lay down to rest and would not be able to get back on her feet on her own. We had to closely monitor her for the first 30 days and assist her to her feet. She is slowly getting stronger by each day. Bell has a long road ahead of her. We will update as she improves. Please consider making a donation towards Bell's Rehabilitation.
