Alabama came into our rescue program on October 5, 2020. Alabama came into our rescue program from a Kill pen in Alabama. Alabama hitched a ride here with Lionel's Beauty. Alabama is a Beautiful, Bay, Tennessee Walker, Gelding. Alabama is estimated to be 20 years of age. Alabama is a sweet boy and loves attention. He is always searching you for treats. Alabama is extremely thin and will need to gain some additional weight before we can evaluate for adoption. Alabama stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. He is going to make someone a super nice horse once he has rehabilitated. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Alabama's Rehabilitation.

Update November 2020 Alabama is now seeking his forever, loving home to call his own. Alabama has gained some much needed weight and looking much better. Alabama is broke to ride! We recommend light riding. Occasionally he looks a bit weak in his hind end, but I think the more weight he gains and muscle he builds, he will do much better. We recommend some exercises to assist him with gaining muscle in his hind quarters, such as stepping over ground poles, walking up and down small hills, etc., We do recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Alabama will make someone an excellent horse. Alabama stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Alabama has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, dental, and hoof maintenance. We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
