Alaska came into our rescue program on April 19, 2014. Alaska was foaled here by Amira. Alaska is a Beautiful, Palomino, Quarter Horse, Mare. Alaska is estimated to be 2 1/2 years of age. She was born on April 19, 2014. Alaska was not planned and she came into this world as a surprise and as one that a lot of issues her first year. Alaska was born with crooked legs, we went through all the right steps to make sure her legs corrected themselves with a lot of stall rest. Thankfully, her legs turned out perfect. Shortly after joining her momma in an outside pen, Alaska was attacked by the neighbors dogs. She had quite a few significant wounds that required a lot of cleaning and treatment. Alaska returned to stall rest while she was healing. After several months, she was finally able to join the herd and be a horse again. She has been doing great and growing like a weed. Alaska is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Alaska loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. Alaska has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and hoof maintenance. Alaska was picked for our 6th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Youth Trainer Kaidyn Lopez. Kaidyn will be working with Alaska for the next 132 days, turning Alaska into a dependable riding companion. Kaidyn will be going against 4 Youth Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 11 Adult Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 20, 2017 at the Heart of Oklahoma, Shawnee Expo Center, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Alaska will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 20, 2017 through an all day silent auction. Alaska is a sweet girl and loves attention. Alaska has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Alaska has also been freeze branded for her protection. Update May 2017 Alaska knows all her ground manners (backing, disengaging front and back, lunging), She will stand ground tied and tied to a trailer. She saddles, picks up all four feet with no problem. She is desensitized to all fun and scary objects and she doesnt have a problem with any of it. She will walk, trot on the ground. In the Saddle, she will walk, trot and canter. She can side pass, disengage front and back and Back Up. She can collect up and be ridden with a loose rein. This is one super sweet girl and loves attention. She is a in your pocket type of girl but respectful of your space. Alaska will make an excellent addition to anyone's family.

Update May 23, 2017 Alaska and Kaidyn are this year's Youth Champion Trainer of our 6th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer's Challenge. These two did a remarkable job and quite the team! Alaska has been adopted by a wonderful family in Chandler, Oklahoma. Alaska is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this beautiful girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will receive an unlimited amount of love and attention.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
