Bartles came into our rescue program on August 28, 2023. Bartles came into our rescue program from the Major County Sheriff's Office along with 18 other horses and 1 very obese pot belly pig, as a cruelty case. Many other animals were seized as well and sent to a local small animal rescue. I am unsure of how many deceased animals were found on the property. Many of the horses had respiratory issues upon arrival. On September 28, 2023, In the District Court of Major County and the State of Oklahoma, having filed its motion regarding the animals pursuant to 21 O.S. 1680.4 and 4 O.S. 512, it is ordered that ownership is transferred to Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue. Bartles is a Beautiful, Roan, Appaloosa, Miniature Horse, Colt. Bartles is estimated to be 6 months of age upon arrival into our program. Bartles is very thin with a body score of 2. He has extremely overgrown feet. His blood work shows him to be anemic and infested with internal parasites. Bartles is very ill upon arrival and being monitored daily for fevers. This sweet boy has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Please consider making a donation towards Bartles Rehabilitation.
