Buckshot came into our rescue program on November 28, 2016. Buckshot came from the Logan County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case along with 4 other horses. Sadly, when we arrived on the scene one horse was down, emaciated and had been struggling for quite some time. Nicholas/Nigel only weighed 528 pounds, which was half of his body weight. He was extremely neglected and went without far to long. We was able to move that horse off the property, but sadly lost him early the next morning. We are thankful that the others were removed before they suffered any long term affects and lost as much weight as the beautiful boy, Nicholas/Nigel that we lost. Buckshot is a Beautiful, Buckskin, Appalossa, Gelding. Buckshot is estimated to be 8 years of age. Buckshot is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Buckshot loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. We hope to bring you additional information about this sweet boy soon, as we prepare Buckshot for adoption. Please consider making a donation towards Buckshot's care.
Update January 2017 Buckshot is now seeking his forever, loving home. Buckshot is a super sweet boy and loves attention. He is green broke under saddle. We would recommend some additional training/tuning. He handled everything great but just doesn't seem to know what to do. He will be easy to finish off and has a lot of potential to make someone an excellent horse. Buckshot stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. He gets along great with other horses and has a great disposition. Buckshot has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy the forever, loving home he deserves, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Buckshot.
Buckshot has been adopted to a wonderful family in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Buckshot is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.
