Cashew came into our rescue program on October 22, 2022. Cashew came into our rescue program from the McClain County Sheriff's Office along with 7 other horses, 1 Bull and 1 Pig as a cruelty case. Cashew is a Beautiful, Black/White, Paint, Gelding. Cashew is estimated to be 3 months of upon arrival in our program. Cashew's mother is Queso. Cashew is very thin with a body score of 2 and infested with internal/external parasites. He is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Cashew is halter broke and broke to lead. Cashew does need to put on a bit of weight before we evaluate for adoption. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Cashew's Rehabilitation.
Update April 2023 Cashew is doing great and looking for his forever, loving home. Cashew is absolutely adorable and loves attention. Cashew is now 9 months old. He has so much personality and will make someone an excellent horse as he continues to grow. Cashew stands for the farrier but will need some continued work picking up his feet and loading in the trailer. Cashew is halter broke and broke to lead, but we do encourage additional time and training being caught and haltered. Cashew has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance. Cashew has been adopted to a wonderful family in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. Cashew is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves, where he will be showered with love and attention.
