Casper came into our rescue program originally on July 14, 2020 but sadly returned to our program on March 29, 2023. Casper came into our rescue program from the City of Edmond Animal Welfare along with 23 other horses as a cruelty case. This case has been a long drawn out ordeal and we are thankful that we can now prepare these horses for adoption. Many of these horses had a lot of medical issues that we have been treating and taking care of. Reportedly, most of the horses in this case are all Western Pleasure bred. We DO NOT have registration papers on any of these horses. Casper is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Colt. Casper is estimated to be 12 weeks of age. His mom is Nudey. Casper is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Casper is in fair condition. He has lice present and a rough haircoat. He is bright eyed and nursing well. A fecal egg count was done and he had 800 EPG Strongyle eggs and 450 EPG ascarid eggs (high parasite load). Nudey and Casper are doing well and settling in well with a good diet to properly accommodate momma and baby. We will update as they improve. Please consider making a donation towards Casper's Rehabilitation.
