Chavez came into our rescue program on August 24, 2017. Chavez came into our rescue program from the Hughes County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case along with 9 other horses. Sadly, 1 horse we lost shortly after the seizure due to the extreme nature of his neglect. We tried everything to save him, but he was too far gone and didn't have the energy to fight. Thankfully, help arrived in time for the remaining horses. Chavez is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Stud. Chavez is estimated to be 18 years of age. Chavez is very thin with a body score of a 2, his blood work is elevated and he is infested in parasites. Chavez is in need of some major dental work. Chavez has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Update January 2018 Chavez is now seeking his forever, loving home. Chavez is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Chavez is broke to ride. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area as we don't know when he was routinely ridden last. Chavez has been gelded and he is getting along great with all the other horses. He looks great and has gained a lot of weight. He is now ready for his forever, loving home. Chavez has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Chavez has been adopted to a wonderful family in Oologah, Oklahoma. Chavez is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this Handsome boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
