Collier came into our rescue program on August 9, 2011. Collier came from the Stephens County Sheriff's Office. Collier along with 14 other horses were severly starved and neglected in Marlow, Oklahoma. Sadly, one of the horses seized by Stephens County died within 48 hours of the seizure at the Vet Clinic, due to the extreme neglect she had suffered. The remaining 14 horses are currently in our care and being rehabilitated. Collier is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Stud. He is estimated to be 7 years of age. He is super sweet and loves attention. He is extremely emaciated, body score of a 1, infested with internal/external parasites and has a fractured elbow. He needs surgery for his fractured elbow, but due to his emaciated state, he is not a surgery candidate. We are keeping him isolated with little movement, and praying that he does well. He is such a sweet boy and deserves so much more than what he received. We will update as he progresses. Please consider making a donation towards the rehabilitation of Collier and the other 13 horses from Marlow, Oklahoma.
Update March 2012 Collier has gained a lot of weight and looks great. His elbow is still healing from his fracture, so he is still on stall rest. We hope that he will be able to be gelded soon. He has came a long ways and almost ready for his forever, loving home. We will continue to update as he improves.
Update May 2012 Collier is now ready for his forever, loving home. He has been gelded and doing great. He has shown no signs of lameness or complications from his previously fractured elbow. Collier is super sweet and very well mannered. Collier is broke to ride. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Collier stands at 15.1 hands tall. He is a beautiful boy with a lot to offer. He loves attention, stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Collier has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating, gelding, and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy the forever, loving home that he deserves, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come see Collier.
Collier has been adopted to a wonderful family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Collier along with Cassidy are going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in their forever, loving home. We are thrilled that these two sweethearts will receive the love and attention that they deserve with a wonderful forever, loving family.
