Descent came into our rescue program on December 16, 2014. Descent came into our rescue program from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 7 other horses as a cruelty case. Descent is a Beautiful, Brown, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Descent is estimated to be 8 years of age. He is a sweet boy and loves attention. He is Halter Broke and Broke to lead. He stands for the farrier, but does need some work on picking up his hind feet and loads in the trailer. He stands at 14.2 hands tall. Descent has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Descent was picked for our 4th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Youth Trainer Katie Hustis. Katie will be working with Descent for the next 120 days, turning Descent into a dependable riding companion. Katie will be going against 9 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 12 Adult Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 30, 2015 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Descent has been adopted to a wonderful family in Edmond, Oklahoma. Descent is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. Descent was purchased by a generous donor, which in turn gave Descent to his Trainer, Katie. Katie received the gift of a lifetime, when she was able to bring her boy back home to stay. We are so thrilled that this sweet boy found the family he deserves, where he will receive an unlimited amount of love, time and care.
