Duncan came into our rescue program on January 14, 2018. Duncan came into our rescue program from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Duncan is a Beautiful, Red Roan, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Duncan is estimated to be 9 years of age. Duncan is very thin, body score of a 2, and infested with external/internal parasites. Duncan is a sweet boy and loves attention. Duncan stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Duncan has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Update May 2018 Duncan is now seeking his forever, loving home. Duncan is super sweet and loves attention. Duncan is looking great and ready for a family to call his own where he will be trained. Duncan was picked for our 8th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Zac Price. Zac will be working with Duncan for the next 120 days, turning Duncan into a dependable riding companion. Zac will be going against 13 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 4th, 2019 at the Heart of Oklahoma, Shawnee Expo Center, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Available for Adoption on May 4th, 2019 to pre-approved adopters through a Silent Auction. All bids start at $800.00 on the day of the event only. The day of the event will be the only opportunity to adopt a horse with over $3000.00 of training alone, for the starting bid of $800.00. If the horses do not get adopted the day of the event, the adoption fee will be higher once brought back to our facility.
Update May 5, 2019 Duncan has received 120 days of training and is seeking his forever, loving home. Duncan is a handsome boy and looking for that family that he can continue to work with. Duncan has been adopted to a wonderful family in Noble, Oklahoma. He is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.
