Farmer came into our rescue program on July 14, 2020. Farmer came into our rescue program from the City of Edmond Animal Welfare along with 23 other horses as a cruelty case. This case has been a long drawn out ordeal and we are thankful that we can now prepare these horses for adoption. Many of these horses had a lot of medical issues that we have been treating and taking care of. Reportedly, most of the horses in this case are all Western Pleasure bred. We DO NOT have registration papers on any of these horses. Farmer is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Farmer is estimated to be 3 years of age. Farmer is super sweet and loves attention. Farmer is in fair condition, with a body condition score of 4. Farmer's bloodwork showed anemia, which can be due to external or internal parasites, poor nutrition, blood loss or other chronic health issues. Farmer's total protein is elevated, this indicates infection or dehydration. His calcium was low and phosphorus elevated which are likely due to poor nutrition. A fecal egg count was done and an EPG for strongyle eggs was 225 (moderate shedder). Farmer is a super nice gelding. We will be updating his adoption status soon as we evaluate him and he puts on a bit of weight. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Farmer's Rehabilitation.

Farmer was picked for our 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Robert Hayes. Robert Hayes will be working with Farmer for the next 35 days, turning Farmer into a dependable riding companion. Farmer has less time in this challenge, due to Robert's first pick Lark, not being able to be trained with the time line designated for this challenge. We felt it was best for Robert & Lark to switch out horses. Lark will require additional time in training and we will pursue that after the challenge. In the meantime, Robert is still competing and now working with Farmer. Robert will be going against 7 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 16 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 15, 2021 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. For additional information regarding our Trainer's Challenge, please visit our trainer's challenge website and follow your favorite Trainer/Rescue Horse on their journey to competition. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Farmer will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 15th, 2021 through an all day silent auction. Farmer is a sweet boy and loves attention. Farmer has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Farmer has also been freeze branded for his protection. If you are interested in adopting Farmer, please submit an adoption application and get your pre-approved status, in order to adopt Farmer or one of our other Rescued Horses competing on May 15th, 2021.

Team Farmer did a great job at this years 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainers Challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Trainer Robert Hayes showcased Farmer this year, instead of competing, since he only had 35 days of training. Both did an amazing job and we couldn't be more proud of this wonderful team.

Farmer has been adopted to a wonderful home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Farmer is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this special boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.
