Hombre came into our rescue program on June 20, 2018. Hombre came into our rescue program from the Beckham County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case along with 12 other horses. Sadly, one died before we were able to get there. Hombre is a Beautiful, Bay, BLM Branded Mustang, Stud. Hombre is estimated to be 2 years of age. Hombre is very thin, body score of a 2 and infested with internal/external parasites and is anemic. Hombre's feet were in horrible condition and lacked serious farrier care. Hombre is a sweet boy and loves attention. He is halter broke and broke to lead. This case is still pending and we are waiting for an update from Beckham County. We are praying for a resolution regarding these sweet horses soon. Once we receive word, we will update adoption status. Hombre will be gelded prior to being adopted. Hombre has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Hombre's Rehabilitation.

Update December 2018 Hombre is now seeking his forever, loving home. Hombre has gained a lot of weight and doing great. Hombre is halter broke and broke to lead. This sweet boy is now ready for training! He will make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and training. Hombre can still be a bit aloof from time to time but with consistency and time, he will learn that daily attention is a good thing. Hombre needs assistance learning how to stand for the farrier. Hombre has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Hombre was picked for our 8th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Abby Ocker. Abby will be working with Hombre for the next 120 days, turning Hombre into a dependable riding companion. Abby will be going against 13 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 4th, 2019 at the Heart of Oklahoma, Shawnee Expo Center, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Hombre will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 4th, 2019 through an all day silent auction. Hombre is a sweet boy and loves attention. Hombre has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Hombre has also been freeze branded for his protection. If you are interested in adopting Hombre, please submit an adoption application and get your pre-approved status, in order to adopt Blitz or one of our other Rescued Horses competing on May 4th, 2019.

Available for Adoption on May 4th, 2019 to pre-approved adopters through a Silent Auction. All bids start at $800.00 on the day of the event only. The day of the event will be the only opportunity to adopt a horse with over $3000.00 of training alone, for the starting bid of $800.00. If the horses do not get adopted the day of the event, the adoption fee will be higher once brought back to our facility.

Hombre has been adopted to a wonderful family in Edmond, Oklahoma. He is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
