Iris came into our rescue program on April 17, 2010. Iris is estimated to be 22 years of age. She is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Iris is in need of some major dental work. She is super sweet and will make someone a nice horse once she has fully rehabilitated. She needs to put on a bit of weight, but in overall good condition. It appears that she has had a rough life, the tips of her ears are a little choppy and her face just shows a lifetime of wear and tear. She is a super sweet girl and just wants a family to love her. We will update as she continues to improve. Please consider making a donation towards Iris' recovery.
Update 11/01/2010 -- Iris is doing great and now seeking her forever, loving home. Iris is a sweet girl, loves attention and just wants someone to spend the days grooming her and giving her lots of love and care. Iris is broke to ride and would make someone a great kids horse. She still needs to put on a bit more weight, but she is doing great. Iris has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Iris stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. If you are intersted in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application.
Iris has been adopted by a wonderful family in Rattan, Oklahoma. Iris is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten. She is being joined by another former rescue, Crissy. Both are going to receive lots of love and attention. We are thrilled that these special girls have found their forever, loving family.
