Jeannie came into our rescue program on August 9, 2011. Jeannie came from the Stephens County Sheriff's Office. Jeannie along with 14 other horses were severly starved and neglected in Marlow, Oklahoma. Sadly, one of the horses seized by Stephens County died within 48 hours of the seizure at the Vet Clinic, due to the extreme neglect she had suffered. The remaining 14 horses are currently in our care and being rehabilitated. Jeannie is a Beautiful, Bay, Quarter Horse, Mare. She is estimated to be 9 years of age. She is super sweet and loves attention. Jeannie is in good body condition, body score of 4. Jeannie is broke to ride, with a little time and tuning, she would make someone a great cow horse. She was ridden at the Shawnee Expo Center and did well herding the cows. Jeannie loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. Jeannie has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Jeannie.
