Juanita came into our rescue program on July 15, 2014. Juanita came into our rescue program from the Canadian County Sheriff's Office. Juanita is a Beautiful, Bay, Thoroughbred, Mare. Juanita is estimated to be 5 years of age. Juanita was a body score of a 2. She has many scars and wounds all over her. It appears she was being used for possible horse tripping. She has a significant wound on her right hind leg that could possibly have a splint bone fracture. We are wrapping the leg and treating, in hopes to bring the swelling down. We will take new x-rays after the swelling has decreased to verify if she has a fracture. If she does, she will require surgery. She is infested with internal/external parasites. She is a sweet girl and loves attention. She is a bit untrusting at the moment, but I know with time, she will be great. She just needs to see that no one is going to hurt her. She stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. This beautiful girl still as a bit of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Update October 2014 Juanita is going great and now seeking her forever, loving home. Juanita's leg has healed and no surgery was required. She is a sweet girl and ready for a loving family to show her that she can trust again. Juanita is super sweet, stands around 16 hands tall. She is halter broke, broke to lead, stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Juanita has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Juanita has been adopted to a wonderful family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Juanita is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever loving home. We are thrilled that this special girl has the forever, loving family deserves and will receive an unlimited amount of time and attention.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
