Luna came into our rescue program on August 30, 2016. Luna & Sol came from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. Luna is a Beautiful, Black, Quarter Horse, Mare. Luna has a beautiful Colt named Sol that is estimated to be 3 months of age and is a beautiful Sorrel with a flaxen mane and tail. Luna is estimated to be 4 years of age. Luna is emaciated, body score of a 2, infested with internal/external parasites and giving everything she has to her colt. Momma and Baby will have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Luna was picked for our 6th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Adult Trainer Christa Caho. Christa will be working with Luna for the next 132 days, turning Luna into a dependable riding companion. Luna will be going against 10 Adult Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 5 Youth Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 20, 2017 at the Heart of Oklahoma, Shawnee Expo Center, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Luna will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 20, 2017 through an all day silent auction. Luna is a sweet girl and loves attention. Luna has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Luna has also been freeze branded for her protection. If you are interested in adopting Luna, please submit an adoption application and get your pre-approved status, in order to adopt Luna or one of our other Rescued Horses competing on May 20, 2017.

Update May 2017 Luna has been doing excellent in her training with Christa Caho. Luna looks great and is ready for her forever, loving home. Luna is super laid back, you can jump on her and all around her. She will go over and through obstacles. She does great on the trail and has been ridden down the road several times. Luna is certified through the Mounted Patrol Clinic hosted by Bill Richey. If you are looking for an awesome horse, come check Luna out on May 20th. You won't be disappointed.

Update May 23, 2017 Luna and Christa are this year's 3rd Place Winners of the Adult Division of our 6th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer's Challenge. Luna has been adopted by a wonderful family in Quinton, Oklahoma. Luna is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this beautiful girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will receive an unlimited amount of love and attention.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
