Missy came into our rescue program on August 23, 2011. Missy came from the Piedmont Police Department. Missy along with 10 other Belgian's and 1 mule were surrendered to the Piedmont Police Department, as the former owner was no longer able to provide the proper care they needed. Piedmont Police Department requested us to take the horses. These pictures were not taken the day the horses were removed. Once Blaze's was able to pick up the horses, they had received several days of a good nutritional diet, therefore, changing their body condition. Missy is a Beautiful, Chestnut, Belgian Draft, Mare. Missy is estimated to be 20 years old. She is a former carriage horse. Missy is a body score of a 3 and needs to gain some weight. She is in need of dental work and hoof care. Missy is currently in foster care and will be available for adoption once she has received the medical care she needs. We will update as she progresses. Update 10/31/2011 Missy is now seeking her forever, loving home. Missy is a sweet girl and loves attention. Missy is a former carriage horse and is broke to drive and ride. Missy has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Missy has been adopted to a wonderful family in Norman, Oklahoma. Missy is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten, as well as, helping kids. We are thrilled that this sweet girl has a job and will be getting all the love and attention that she deserves.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
