Monet came into our rescue program on August 9, 2011. Monet came from the Stephens County Sheriff's Office. Monet along with 14 other horses were severly starved and neglected in Marlow, Oklahoma. Sadly, one of the horses seized by Stephens County died within 48 hours of the seizure at the Vet Clinic, due to the extreme neglect she had suffered. The remaining 14 horses are currently in our care and being rehabilitated. Monet is a Beautiful, Black/White, Appaloosa, Mare. She is estimated to be 4 years of age. She is super sweet and loves attention. She is extremely emaciated, body score of a 1, and infested with internal/external parasites. This sweet girl has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Update 12/19/2011 Monet is now seeking her forever, loving home. She has gained a lot of weight and looks great. She is super sweet girl and loves attention. She is halter broke and broke to lead, stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Monet has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Monet was picked for our 2nd Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Trainer Ryan McCannon. Ryan will be working with Monet for the next 100 days, turning Monet into a dependable riding companion. Ryan will not be competing against the other trainers, but he will be a highlighted featured trainer. Competition is set for May 4th, 2013 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. You can have an opportunity to see Monet in action at our Blaze's Spring Fling Benefit Trail Ride on April 20th, 2013 at Prague Lake. Monet has been adopted to a wonderful family in Yukon, Oklahoma. Monet has been adopted by her Trainer Ryan, where they both made an instant connection. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever, loving home that she deserves. She will receive the unlimited amount of time and attention from her forever, loving family.
