Peyote came into our rescue program on July 20, 2013. Peyote came from The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Peyote is a Beautiful, Dun, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Peyote is estimated to be 9 years of age. We don't believe Peyote to be broke to ride. He is halter broke and broke to lead. With the right amount of time and attention, he should be very easy to train under saddle. Peyote is a sweet boy but can be a bit aloof from time to time. He loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier.. This special boy will make someone an excellent horse. Peyote has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Peyote was picked for our 3rd Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Kelci Goad. Kelci will be working with Peyote for the next 100 days, turning Peyote into a dependable riding companion. Kelci will be going against 11 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 7 Youth Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for April 26, 2014 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Peyote has been adopted to a wonderful family in Edmond, Oklahoma. Peyote is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. Peyote has been adopted by his trainer Kelci Goad. He will go on to be a lesson horse in her Saddle Up Horsemanship Program. We are so thrilled that this sweet boy found the family he deserves, where he will receive an unlimited amount of love and care. Peyote came a long ways in the Trainers Challenge. Peyote and her Trainer Kelci Goad placed 3rd in the competition.
