Pip came into our rescue program on April 06, 2013. Pip came from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office along with 62 other horses and 3 Llama's as a severe cruelty case. Seminole County investigated an animal cruelty case consisting of over 120 animals, where several carcasses were found. Sadly, for many horses, help came too late. We were able to assist Seminole County and save 63 horses and 3 Llama's from neglect. Pip is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Icelandic, Mare. Pip is estimated to be 11 years of age. Pip is a body score of a 4. She is infested with internal/external parasites, has rain rot and is mildly anemic. She is super sweet and very smart. She loves attention but can be a bit aloof. She loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. Pip will be coming available for adoption soon. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Pip's Rehabilitation.
Update June 2013 Pip is now seeking her forever, loving home to call her own. Pip is super cute and very smart, but can be difficult to catch. Once caught, she is a sweet girl and loves attention. Pip stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Pip does not appear to be broke to ride. She is certainly ready for someone to start her training. Pip has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance. Update 2016 Pip has returned to our program at no fault of her own. Poor Pip has been through several different homes without our consent or knowledge. Pip was found for sale and thankfully once the individual realized that she was a Blaze's horse, she contacted us and worked with us to get Pip back into our program so that we can find this sweet girl the forever, loving home she deserves. Pip is now 15 years of age. She is a super sweet girl and loves attention. It appears that she may have been under saddle for a short time. We will evaluate that further and determine if she needs to go into some training to better prepare her for a forever, loving home or if she just needs to be tuned up. We will update further as we are able to work with her. Pip stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Update January 2017 Pip is still searching for that forever, loving home she deserves. Pip received about 60 days of training with Kayt LaDue-Laymon and has returned to our rescue where she continues to be worked by Kelci Goad weekly. Pip is very willing and has an eager to please personality. She responds best to light and soft cues. She stands tied quietly for grooming, saddling, and picking up feet. She is still a bit green under saddle but making great progress weekly. She is quick to learn and retains information well. Very easy to handle on the ground. We would currently recommend a confident rider for pip. Pip will walk, trot, turn and back up under saddle. She is a super cute and very sweet girl that is searching for that forever home to call her own. Pip stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer.
