Queso came into our rescue program on October 22, 2022. Queso came into our rescue program from the McClain County Sheriff's Office along with 7 other horses, 1 Bull and 1 Pig as a cruelty case. Queso is a Beautiful, Buckskin, Quarter Horse, Mare. Queso is estimated to be 10 years of age upon arrival in our program. Queso had a beautiful, 3-month-old, Colt on her side, named Cashew.
Queso is thin with a body score of 2 and infested with internal/external parasites. She is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Queso is halter broke and broke to lead. Queso does need to put on a bit of weight before we evaluate for adoption. We will update as she improves. Please consider making a donation towards Queso's Rehabilitation.
Update April 2023 Queso is doing great and looking for her forever, loving home. Queso is broke to ride and will make someone a wonderful horse. We do recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area, as you can tell it has been a while since she was ridden. Queso is a super sweet girl, loves attention, and is quite stunning. Queso stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. Queso has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, Dental and hoof maintenance.
