Ridley came into our rescue on November 6, 2010. Ridley was seized along with 12 other horses from the City of Edmond. Ridley is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Mare. She is estimated to be 3 years of age. Ridley is a body score of a 2, infested with internal/external parasites. She has severe bilateral maxillary facial bone deformation, bilateral purulent nasal discharge, and deviation of the muzzle. The horse has palatal displacement of bilateral maxillary M1 teeth with fistula to the maxillary sinus She will have to have some X-rays to determine if she can have surgery to fix the sinus issues. Update May 17, 2011 Ridley is doing great and seeking her forever, loving home. Ridley is a super sweet girl and loves attention. She has a very laid back personality and has come a long ways from the day she was seized. Ridley has gained a lot of weight and looking great. In November, Ridley was extremely weak, had never been handled, and would freak when someone attempted to mess with her. She was the most difficult to load in the trailer and we honestly were worried she would never make it off that property. Ridley is now a pocket pony. She loves attention. She is very smart and eager to please. Ridley is halter broke and broke to lead. She stands for the farrier. Ridley's deformity in her sinus' are probably due to poor genetics. She does not have any sinus drainage or difficulty breathing. Ridley is still growing, a bit small for her age, but will hopefully hit a growth spurt soon. Ridley has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating, and hoof maintenance. Ridley is currently in foster care and her foster home is working with Ridley and getting her started under saddle. She has already accepted the saddle and is doing great. Update May 2014 Ridley has been returned to our rescue by her previous family due to unforeseen circumstances and is now seeking her forever, loving home. Ridley is now 6 years old. She has grown quite a bit and ready for a family that will start her under saddle and give her a job. She is a beautiful girl and loves attention. She is very smart and eager to please. Ridley was picked for our 4th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Trainer DonnaJayne Noble. DonnaJayne will be working with Ridley for the next 120 days, turning Ridley into a dependable riding companion. DonnaJayne will be going against 11 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 10 Youth Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 30, 2015 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Update June 1, 2015 Ridley is still seeking her forever, loving home. Ridley is now in training with Kelci Goad for the next 30 days. Ridley is a super sweet girl and very smart and will make someone an excellent horse. We feel that Ridley has so much potential and will benefit greatly with an additional 30 days of training, since Donnajayne Noble was not able to finish Ridley's training and compete in the challenge. Update December 2015 Ridley is still available for adoption and is continuing her training with Kelci Goad until she finds her forever, loving family. Ridley recently joined our Benefit Trail Ride at Bell Cow Lake and did great. Ridley will make an excellent trail horse. We would recommend a confident rider for Ridley. Kelci Goad with Saddle Up Horsemanship is available for lessons with adopter and Ridley to assure a wonderful partnership. Update April 2016 Ridley has continued to receive training with Saddle Up Horsemanship, Kelci Goad. Ridley is doing great and is still seeking that forever, loving home that she deserves. Ridley would make an excellent trail horse. Ridley loves the trails and seems to really be in her element when hitting the trails. She would benefit the most with an intermediate rider with confidence. Ridley has a lot of time and training invested in her. Schedule an appointment today to go try Ridley out.
