Shawnee came into our rescue program on October 24, 2012. Shawnee came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 6 other horses. Shawnee is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Mare. Shawnee is estimated to be 11 years of age. Shawnee stands at 14.3 hands tall. She is a super sweet and very smart. She loaded in the trailer with no problem and loves attention. Shawnee has a wound on her leg that had previously grown proud flesh. Our Veterinarian had to remove the proud flesh and she is now in a bandage to keep the wound clean and from forming additional proud flesh. She doesn't show any signs of lameness. Shawnee will make someone a nice horse. We will update as she improves. Please consider donating towards Shawnee's rehabilitation.

Update November 2012 Shawnee is now seeking her forever, loving home. Shawnee's leg wound has healed nicely. She is doing great and ready for her forever, loving home. Shawnee is broke to ride. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Shawnee is super sweet and loves attention. She is a beautiful girl and would make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and attention. Shawnee has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Shawnee has been adopted to a wonderful family in Yukon, Oklahoma. Shawnee is going to be spoiled rotten and extremely well loved in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever, loving family she deserves, where she will receive the time, love and attention.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
