Shinka came into our rescue program on December 17, 2022. Shinka came into our rescue program from the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe as a cruelty case. Shinka is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Shinka is estimated to be 22 years of age upon arrival into our program. Shinka is in very poor condition, with a body score of a 1. Shinka is covered in rain rott. Shinka is also anemic, which is likely from poor nutrition and parasites. Shinka is super sweet and loves attention. She stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. This sweet girl has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Shinka's Rehabilitation.
Update December 2023 Shinka has made an amazing transformation. She has gained her weight back and is absolutely stunning. Shinka accepted a rider but started off a bit tense. We will continue to work with her and see if she starts to remember more under saddle. She will make someone an amazing horse, with the right amount of time. Shinka is halter broke and broke to lead. Shinka stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Shinka has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental and hoof maintenance.
