Waldo came into our rescue program on June 8, 2012. Waldo came from Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 2 other horses involved in an animal cruelty case. Waldo is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. He is a body score of a 2, infested with internal/external parasites. Waldo is estimated to be 11 years of age. Waldo stands at 14.1 hands tall. Waldo is a super sweet and very smart. He stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. He has such a sweet disposition and loves attention. We will update as he progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Waldo's rehabilitation.
Update September 2012 Waldo is now seeking his forever, loving home. He has gained a lot of weight and looking great. He still has a bit more weight to gain, but doing so much better. Waldo is super sweet and loves attention. Waldo was probably started under saddle at one time, but it is clear he hasn't done anything in quite some time. With some time, training and love, he will be a great little horse. He just needs to be taken back to the basics and slowly started again. He has so much potential and will make someone a great horse. Waldo has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy the forever, loving home that he deserves, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come see Waldo.
Update July 2013 Waldo is seeking his forever, loving home to call his own. Waldo is currently with trainer Angie Sack in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Waldo is super smart and doing great. Waldo has a willing personality and will make someone an excellent horse. Waldo does not respond to pressure but with soft hands, he is willing to please and go anywhere. We don't recommend Waldo for a green rider, as he is intelligent and will find holes in your riding. He has a loving personality and looks to you for confidence. If you are interested in adopting this sweet, beautiful boy, we recommend the adopter spend some time with the trainer to learn how to handle Waldo. Waldo will remain in training for the next 30 days with Angie. Angie is a great trainer for both horses and humans. This is a great opportunity to build a wonderful relationship with Waldo and understand him inside and out from Angie.
