Washington came into our rescue program on March 2, 2019. Washington came into our rescue program from The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office along with 3 other horses as a cruelty case. Sadly, one of those horses died shortly after rescue due to her severe state of neglect. Washington is a Beautiful, Black, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Washington is estimated to be 6 years of age. Washington is a sweet boy and loves attention. Washington is thin and needs to gain some weight before we fully evaluate. Washington stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. He is going to make someone a nice horse. Washington has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Washington was picked for our 9th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Abby Ocker. Abby will be working with Washington for the next 130 days, turning Washington into a dependable riding companion. Abby will be going against 8 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 14 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 16, 2020 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Washington is a sweet boy and loves attention. Washington has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Washington has also been freeze branded for his protection. Quick Update from his Trainer, Abby Ocker Washington is super sweet, laid back, and not much phases him. He has made a lot of progress in his training and will make someone a very nice horse. He has the potential to be a good beginner or kids horse as well. He is registered with the American Ranch Horse Association and can be shown at any of their shows across the country. Washington has been adopted to a wonderful family in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Washington is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this Handsome boy found the forever, loving family he deserves, where he will be showered with the time, attention and love he deserves.
