Whiskers came into our rescue program on April 06, 2015. Whiskers came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 5 other horses. Whiskers is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Whiskers is estimated to be 18 years of age. Whiskers is emaciated, body score of a 1, infested with internal/external parasites. It appears that Whiskers is pregnant. She stands for the farrier, and loads in a trailer. She is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Whiskers has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as Whiskers improves. Update July 2015 Whiskers is doing great and gaining weight. Whiskers foaled a beautiful and healthy colt on May 15th, 2015 named Finn. Whiskers and Finn are both doing wonderful and getting a lot of attention from their foster family. Whiskers is super sweet and loves attention and baby is quickly learning the ropes and enjoying things as well. We will update soon with their adoption status.

Update February 2016 Whiskers and Finn are both doing great and now seeking their forever, loving home to call their own. Whiskers is super sweet and loves attention. Whiskers is broke to ride. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Whiskers stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. She is a sweetheart and has a laid back personality. Finn is a sweetheart but still a bit cautious of people. He is halter broke and broke to lead. Finn has been gelded. These sweethearts would make a great addition to anyone's family and both will make someone wonderful horses. Whiskers has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Whiskers has been to a wonderful family in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Whiskers is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will receive an unlimited amount of time and attention.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
