Zelda came into our rescue program on April 17, 2012. Zelda came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a cruelty case along with her foal Derby. Both spent several months at OKC-AWD while the owner fought the cruelty charges. Zelda is a Beautiful, Bay, Quarter Horse, Mare. Zelda is estimated to be 6 years of age and stands about 14.2 hands tall. Zelda is super sweet, very smart, stands for the farrier, loads in a trailer and has such a sweet dispostion, however, she can be difficult to catch. Once caught, she is a great horse. I am sure with some time and attention, she would be much better. Zelda is broke to ride, we would recommend some tune up time in an round pen or small enclosed area. She is very calm under saddle. She will make someone an excellent horse. Zelda has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Update May 2015 Zelda has returned to our rescue program at no fault of her own. Zelda is now seeking a forever, loving home to call her own. Zelda is now 9 years of age. Zelda is super sweet, however, she can be difficult to catch. She does respond well once she has bonded to someone. Zelda is broke to ride and has spent 90 days of training with Robert Hayes. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area, as it has been a couple of months since she was ridden routinely. Zelda will make someone an excellent horse, she is best suited for pleasure riding/Trail Riding as she doesn't enjoy high pressure activities. We would recommend an intermediate rider and she does best with someone that is confident. Zelda stands for farrier and loads in a trailer. Zelda has been adopted to a wonderful family in Piedmont, Oklahoma. Zelda is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will receive daily hands on attention.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
