Carmen   Carmen

Carmen, May 2007

Carmen came into our rescue program on January 25, 2007. Carmen was an Animal Cruelty case that the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division had been working for the last 8 months. Carmen came with 7 other horses that were all previously starved. Carmen is a beautiful Bay Mare. Today, they look great and are ready for a new loving forever home to call their own. Unfortunately, after all the snow and ice melting most of these guys look pretty dirty. Try to look past the mud and see what beautiful creatures these horses are. Due to our large rescue numbers right now, we don't have the ability to access each horse to determine their riding back ground. We are very sorry for this! We just don't have enough man power to access 60 plus horses. Each horse adopted through our program will be completely up to date on vaccinations, deworming, have a current negative coggins, and their feet trimmed. We will be more than happy to work with our adopters with training in the Spring and Summer months, if needed, at half cost. In the meantime, We need to find homes for many of these wonderful horses, so that they can be individually worked with by their new family. If you are interested in giving Carmen a wonderful, loving, forever home to call his own, please submit an application today.

Update 2/13/07 - Carmen is estimated to be 5 years old. She has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations and deworming. Carmen is halter broke and broke to lead. She is a sweetheart! She loves treats! Carmen stands about 14.2 hands tall.

Carmen has been adopted to a wonderful family in Moore, Oklahoma. Carmen is going to be extremely well loved and very spoiled. She has found her forever, loving home.
