Charlie came into our rescue program on July 31, 2007, along with 43 other horses that were severely neglected and starved from the Forest Park & Spencer, Oklahoma area. We were called by the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, Forest Park Police Department and Spencer Police Department to assist in the seizure of the 44 horses. Charlie is a wonderful, 20 year old, Bay, Gelding. Charlie is broke to ride and a sweetheart. Charlie is easy to work with, stands perfectly when having his feet trimmed, being doctored or de-wormed. His best friend is Ginger, whom he came with and he doesn't mind sharing his feed with her. Charlie loves to east apple treats from your hand. He has a wonderful personality and quite the character as well. Charlie can open gates and doors. When his foster mom is in the feed room, he will swing the door open with his head and push it completely open so that he can watch her and make sure she is doing it right. You would never know his age, he feels young and vibrant and moves out better than a lot of the younger ones. Charlie is a great horse and would make anyone a great riding companion. Charlie has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance.
