Deuce came into our rescue program on December 4, 2005. Deuce is estimated to be 23 years of age. He is a very pretty Appaloosa Gelding. He is an extremely sweet horse and is excellent with children. He would make a great starter horse for a child. He is a bit underweight but should gain most of it back. We will have him completely vet checked by our vet and take care of his vaccinations, coggins, deworming, and hoof maintenance. Deuce is a very loving horse and deserves to have that final loving forever home of his own. He would enjoy a child to love on him and brush him daily. Deuce will be available for adoption soon. If you are interested in adopting Deuce, applications are being accepted now. This sweet old boy deserves the best home their is to offer.
Update on 8/1/2006: We have decided that it would be in the best interest of Deuce to hold his adoption status until further notice. Deuce appears to have an old hip injury and will not be available for adoption until more evaluation can be completed.
Deuce has been adopted to a wonderful family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deuce had gone through a rough year, loosing his best friend Max that was 36 years old, really set things back a bit for Deuce. Deuce has hip problems and is not able to be ridden and he became very depressed when Max passed and he lost weight. We knew that we had to do something to help Deuce through this. We matched him with Desperado to be his buddy and Deuce latched on to him. We knew it would be hard to separate Deuce from Desperado when he found his forever, loving home. Deuce was blessed to find a family that was willing to take Deuce with Desperado and provide them both a wonderful, loving forever home. Deuce is a great boy and deserved the best. I know that he will be happy with his new family and he still has his buddy.
