Fire and Ice came into our rescue program December 16, 2004. Fire is a black mare estimated to be around 10 years of age. She came to us a little underweight with Ice, her foal on her side, and showing stifle problems. When Fire walks she drags her back left leg, unable to unlock it from her sleep position. We are going to schedule Fire surgery to correct the problem, so that she can move more freely. Fire is due to have the surgery on January 3, 2005. If you would like to make a donation towards her care, it would be greatly appreciated. Fire has not received much hands on. She is scared of people and doesn't appear to have been touched much in her 10 years. She is going to need lots of work in order to get her to trust you. Ice is a little paint stud colt, estimated between 4 & 6 months of age. He is a small little boy, with blue eyes. They are both beautiful. Fire and Ice will be available for adoption soon. We plan to give Fire enough time to heal from her surgery and wean little Ice.

Ice was adopted to a wonderful family in North Carolina. I can't say enough about this special family that worked so very hard to have this boy become a part of their family. Ice was meant to become a part of this family, everything fell into place, as well as, the Equine Transportation that she was able to set up for his arrival.
