Joe came into our rescue program on August 22, 2007. Joe came in with 4 other horses that were severely neglected and starved. Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office investigated these horses and called us to seize and rehabilitate. The former owner Forfeited their ownership rights and is currently being charged with Animal Cruelty. Joe is an 11 year old, Palomino, Gelding. He is a sweet boy, loves attention and is very laid back. However, Joe may have had some strong hands come down on him in the past, if Joe feels threatened he will just tremble and try to get away from the situation. He needs a loving family that will go slow with him and give him the much needed love and attention that he deserves. Joe is a sweetheart and he has never tried to kick or bite. He will make someone an excellent horse. Joe has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, de-worming and hoof maintenance.
