Morgan came into our rescue program on February 20, 2010. Morgan came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Morgan is estimated to be 10 years of age. Morgan is a Beautiful, Bay, Quarter Horse, Mare. Morgan is super sweet and will make someone a wonderful horse. Morgan is broke to ride. She is a bit on the lazy side and will take some encouragement to lead off. I would recommend anyone that adopts her to take some time tuning her up in a round pen or small enclosed area, which is what we recommend for any horse you adopt. We did ride Morgan down the road, and she did great. She strikes me as a follower, would probably do great on a trail. Morgan has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Update 4/23/2011 Morgan was returned by her adoptive family a year later. Morgan's previous adopters stated that she was not broke to ride and that she was agressive. Morgan did not exhibit that behavior when she was in our rescue program over a year ago. Morgan has not exhibited any aggressive behavior and she is broke to ride. Morgan is very lazy and will require a rider that will push her to move out. Morgan is fighting the bit, but she is scheduled to have her teeth floated next week. Morgan is a very sweet girl and loves attention. If she knows she can Intimidate you, she will do so, in order to get out of being ridden. She has never offered to buck, rear or run off with you. We have ridden her several times since her return. She has done great and will ride much better outside of the round pen. Morgan just needs consistency and someone that is experienced enough to push her to move out. Morgan has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Morgan has been adopted to a wonderful family in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Morgan is joining a former rescue, Ava in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl is going to receive the time and attention that she deserves. I know she will be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays.
