Sassy is around 4 years old. She has already foaled out 2 babies, Mandy and Sunrise. Sunrise was about 4 months old when we picked them up and on her mother. Sassy gave almost everything she had to her baby. Sassy is extremely gentle and broke to ride. She suffers from a little arthritis in her hind legs – we believe from foaling out too young. Her first foal, Mandy, would have been born when she was only 2 years old. (McClain County rescue, December 2001 – after photo, six months later)
