Buckeye came into our rescue program on February 15, 2019. Buckeye came into our rescue program from the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office along with 27 other horses as a cruelty case. Many of the horses were unhandled prior to the seizure. The court awarded that 14 horses could be returned to the owner. Buckeye is a Beautiful, Bay, Thoroughbred, Gelding. Buckeye is estimated to be 4 years of age. Buckeye is a sweet boy and loves attention but tends to be a bit aloof. Buckeye was an unhandled Stud when he came into our program. He is now a calm gelding that is halter broke and broke to lead. He needs a family that will spend time with him, gain his trust and start training. Buckeye was in good body condition but needs his hooves addressed. He was Infested with internal/external parasites. He is going to make someone a super nice horse with the right amount of time and training. He should be coming available for adoption soon. Buckeye was picked for our 9th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Stacy Dickinson. Stacy will be working with Buckeye for the next 130 days, turning Buckeye into a dependable riding companion. Stacy will be going against 8 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 14 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 16, 2020 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Buckeye will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 16th, 2020 through an all day silent auction. Buckeye is a sweet boy and loves attention. Buckeye has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Buckeye has also been freeze branded for his protection. Stacy Dickinson and Team Buckeye did an amazing job at this years Trainers Challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Stacy & Buckeye placed 3rd in the Adult Division of our 9th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainers Challenge

Buckeye has been adopted to a wonderful family in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Buckeye is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this handsome boy found the forever, loving family he deserves, where he will be showered with the time, attention and love he deserves.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
