Gussie came into our rescue program on September 23, 2014. Gussie came into our rescue program from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. Gussie along with three other horse came to us as a cruelty case. We saved 4 horses, 5 Turkeys, 1 Duck, and 1 Pot Belly Pig from deplorable living conditions. However, we was too late to save the 5th horse. Seminole County called a Veterinarian to the scene and sadly had to euthanize one horse that was down upon their arrival. Gussie is a Beautiful, Chestnut, Tennessee Walker, Mare. Gussie is estimated to be 7 years of age. She is a body score of a 2 and infested with parasites. She is a sweet girl and loves attention. She stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. We will update on her progress, as she gains some much needed weight. Please consider making a donation towards Gussie's Rehabilitation.

Update June 2015 Gussie is doing great, gained a lot of weight and looking wonderful! Gussie has been in foster care for the last several months. She has been getting a lot of love and attention. Gussie has been worked under saddle, she is green, but doing wonderful and is full of potential. Gussie stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. She is going to make someone an excellent horse. Gussie has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Gussie.

Update February 2022 Gussie aka Phyre sadly returned to our rescue program, due to no fault of her own. Phyre is now 15 years of age. She is broke to ride and will make someone an excellent horse. She has been ridden on the trails and does great. Phyre stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Phyre has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Phyre.

Gussie aka Phyre has been adopted to a wonderful family in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Phyre is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this beautiful girl found the forever, loving family she deserves, where she will be showered with love and attention.
