Lefty came into our rescue program on October 1, 2012. Lefty came from Paws N Ada, where they worked with the county sheriff on a large scale animal cruelty case. Lefty was one of 3 horses seized along with dogs, goats, and a cow/calf pair. Lefty is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Gelding. Lefty is estimated to be 6 years of age. Lefty stands at 14.2 hands tall. Lefty is a super sweet and very smart, he loves attention. Lefty lost his left eye when he was young. It doesn't bother him at all and he has adjusted quite well. He is not spooky and extremely calm. He stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. He still has some weight to gain, but once he has gained it back and filled out, he will be a nice stout boy. He is a very smart boy and eager to please. Lefty is broke to ride. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Don't let the fact that he only has one eye scare you away from a great horse. He is extremely well adjusted, and you would never know that he depends on only one eye. Lefty has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, gelding and hoof maintenance. Lefty has been adopted to a wonderful family in Mounds, Oklahoma. Lefty was adopted along with Omega, where both will be spoiled rotten and extremely well loved. We are thrilled that these two sweethearts have found the forever, loving family they deserve, where they will get an unlimited amount of time and attention.



Please call or email to schedule an appointment to visit the horses currently available in our rescue program. We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
