Lita came into our rescue program on May 14, 2012. Lita came from Washita County Sheriff's Office along with 3 other horses as a cruelty case. Sadly, one died before coming into rescue. Lita is estimated to be 2 years old. Lita is a Beautiful, Bay, Quarter Horse, Mare. She has come a long way from when she first arrived. Sadly, I don't have the intake pictures of Lita when she first came in, but she has gained a considerable amount of weight and looks great. Lita is a super sweet and very smart. She is halter broke and broke to lead. She is a very smart girl and loves attention. Lita will make someone a great horse with the right amount of time, attention and training. Lita has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Lita was picked for our 3rd Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Trainer Angie Sack. Angie will be working with Lita for the next 100 days, turning Lita into a dependable riding companion. Lita will be going against 11 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 7 Youth Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for April 26, 2014 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Lita has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Lita has also been freeze branded and micro chipped for her protection. Lita has been adopted to a wonderful family in Newalla, Oklahoma. Lita is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this special girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will be showered with love and attention.

Please call or email to schedule an appointment to visit the horses currently available in our rescue program. We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
