Mahogany came into our rescue program on July 4, 2010. Mahogany came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 9 other Thoroughbred's that were seized, from the owner/trainer, for Animal Cruelty. These horses are severly neglected, most are emaciated, infested with internal and external parasites and lacked hoof care. These babies have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Mahogany is a Beautiful, Bay, Mare. She is estimated to be 8 years of age. Mahogany is extremely emaciated with a body score of a 1. She is super sweet and loves attention. This sweet girl will need some dental work and immediate hoof care. We believe that she may be pregnant and we will have her ultra-sounded soon. We were informed that one of the Mares did mis-carry a foal, but are not certain which Mare. We will check all the mares in this group to determine who is in foal, if any, and who miscarried. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Mahogany's Rehabilitation.

Update 11/22/10 -- Mahogany is now seeking her forever, loving home. Mahogany has gained a lot of weight and looks great. She is a sweet girl and loves attention. She is not pregnant. Mahogany stands about 16 hands tall. She stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Mahogany is broke to ride and would make a nice Dressage prospect. I would recommend some tune up rides in a round pen or small enclosed area. Mahogany will make someone a nice horse. Mahogany has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental and hoof maintenance. If you would like to give this sweet girl a forever, loving home, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come see Mahogany.

Mahogany has been adopted to a wonderful family in Madill, Oklahoma. Mahogany has found her forever, loving family where she will be spoiled rotten and extremely well loved. We are thrilled that this sweet girl has a forever, loving home.
