MolassesMolasses

Molasses came into our rescue program on July 4, 2010. Molasses came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 9 other Thoroughbred's that were seized, from the owner/trainer, for Animal Cruelty. These horses are severly neglected, most are emaciated, infested with internal and external parasites and lacked hoof care. These babies have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Molasses is a Beautiful, Bay, Mare. She is estimated to be 6 years of age. Molasses is extremely emaciated with a body score of a 1. She is super sweet and loves attention. This sweet girl will need some dental work and immediate hoof care. We believe that she may be pregnant and we will have her ultra-sounded soon. We were informed that one of the Mares did mis-carry a foal, but are not certain which Mare. We will check all the mares in this group to determine who is in foal, if any, and who miscarried. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Molasses' Rehabilitation.

Update 9/18/2010 -- Molasses is seeking her forever, loving home. Molasses is a sweet girl and loves attention. Molasses has gained a lot of weight and looks great. She is not pregnant. Molasses tacks up nicely, but needs a little time and patience from a trainer and she will be riding nicely. Molasses stands at 15.1 hands tall. She is a big, beautiful girl. Molasses stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. She has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. If you are intersted in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application.

Molasses has been adopted to a wonderful family in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Molasses is going to be spoiled rotten and extremely well loved in her forever, loving home. Molasses certainly choice her family, followed her everywhere and begged for attention. We are thrilled that this sweet girl, has found her forever, loving family.
