WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS: Prada came into our rescue program on April 28, 2011. Prada came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Prada was picked up as a stray and no owner came forward to reclaim her. I'm sure if they had, Animal Cruelty charges would have been filed. Prada is extremely emaciated, infested with internal/external parasites and in need of surgery. Prada is a beautiful 14 year old, Bay, Quarter Horse, Mare. Prada will require surgery to repair her rectal/vagina area. It appears that she may have experienced a very difficult foaling. She is ripped open, and her rectum is no longer separated from her vagina. This is not good, as she get feces in her bladder, etc., which will cause extreme problems, such as bladder infections or Urinary Track Infections. This poor girl has been ignored too long. She has been left to starve and leaving her medical issues untreated. Please help us give this sweet girl a second chance. She is currently on antibiotics treating her for urinary infections associated with her deformity. We will update as she improves. Please consider making a donation to go towards Prada's rehabilitation and surgery.

Update May 2012 Prada is now seeking her forever, loving home. Prada is doing great and looks wonderful. She is super sweet and loves attention. Prada stands at 15 hands tall. Prada is broke to ride. We would recommend some tune up time in an round pen or small enclosed area. Prada will make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and attention. Prada has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating, and hoof maintanance. If you are interested in giving this sweet girl the forever, loving home that she deserves, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come see Prada.

Update December 4, 2017 Nothing makes me more angry than when I find one of our formerly rescued horses once again in the wrong hands. We adopt these horses out with a contract for a reason. When the adopter resells the horse without contacting us and go through the proper channels to assure we find a suitable home for our rescued horses, this is what happens. They fall into the wrong hands and their needs are neglected. I should NOT have to rehab a rescued horse Twice! This is why we freeze brand every one of our horses. Because she was branded, we were contacted by the Broken Arrow Animal Welfare Division, as they were working a case that included Prada. They recognized our brand and immediately contacted us to see if we take our horses back, of course we do, every single time. We also assisted Broken Arrow with 2 other horses that was with Prada. I am beyond angry and upset that this poor, sweet girl was again neglected! The former adopter is in breach of contract! Prada is once again being rehabilitated. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her. I am thankful she is back here and that her brand brought her home. Prada is now 20 years of age. We will work to get this sweet girl back to the weight she should be. We will make sure she finds the absolute best retirement home once she is ready. In the meantime, please consider making a donation towards Prada's Rehabilitation.

Prada has been adopted to a wonderful family in Luther, Oklahoma. Prada is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will be showered with love and attention.

Please call or email to schedule an appointment to visit the horses currently available in our rescue program.
