Rachel came into our rescue program on July 22, 2016. Rachel came into our rescue program from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 1 other horse, Ross. Rachel is a Beautiful, Black/White, Paint, Mare. Rachel is estimated to be 14 years of age. Rachel is thin, estimated to be a body score of a 4. Rachel came in with Ross and they seem to be pretty attached to each other. Rachel is a sweet girl and she seems to love attention. Rachel stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. We hope as she continues to gain weight to evaluate her under saddle and prepare for adoption soon. We will continue to update as Rachel improves. Please consider making a donation towards Rachel's Rehabilitation.

Update June 2017 Rachel is now seeking her forever, loving home to call her own. Rachel is a sweet girl. Her biggest flaw, she was extremely overly attached to Ross and would not stand for anything, if she couldn't see him or talk to him. Ross wouldn't gain weight and we determined the more we kept this very unhealthy relationship going, the more problems occurred for the two of them. We had to separate them. Once we separated them and gave Rachel some time to adjust, we learned that Rachel is a very well trained girl. She has been hiding her true potential for so long, being so overly attached to another horse. Rachel is broke to ride and will make someone an excellent addition to anyone's family. She neck reins, side passes and seems to have really been trained nicely. I think that ride, helped Rachel more than anyone could know. It provided her the confidence she needed to interact with other horses and to be social-able. She just needed someone to see her worth! We now see she has so much to offer. Rachel does bond hard with other horses and may be best suited to a family as their only horse, so that she can bond to you. As she continues to be worked under saddle, she may learn that she doesn't have to be so codependent on another horse. We are already seeing a huge difference in her personality. Rachel truly is a sweet girl. She just needs a family to spend time with her and help her and her adopter's confidence build. Rachel stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Rachel has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Rachel.

Rachel has been adopted to a wonderful family in Drumright, Oklahoma. Rachel is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will be showered with love and attention.
