Reynolds came into our rescue program on May 22, 2017. Reynolds came into our rescue program from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a stray. Reynolds is a Beautiful, Chestnut, Miniature, Gelding. Reynolds is estimated to be 30 years of age. Reynolds is emaciated, body score of a 1, and infested with external/internal parasites. This poor guy is still holding onto a winter coat, so it is hard to see just how skinny he is. He has some leg lock issues on his hind stifle, which can be common for minis. His blood work shows he is anemic and has a low white blood cell count. We are hoping that is from a lack of nutrition, but could also be a sign of cushings or cancer. We will be monitoring him and recheck his blood work soon. This poor sweet old man deserves some peace and comfort in his senior years. I can't believe he was just found as a stray. I pray someone didn't just decide to dump him. He is incredibly sweet. He stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Reynolds has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Reynolds Rehabilitation.
