Toffee came into our rescue program on July 4, 2010. Toffee came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 9 other Thoroughbred's that were seized, from the owner/trainer, for Animal Cruelty. These horses are severly neglected, most are emaciated, infested with internal and external parasites and lacked hoof care. These babies have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Toffee is a Beautiful, Bay, Mare. She is estimated to be 6 years of age. Toffee is extremely emaciated with a body score of a 1. She is super sweet and loves attention. This sweet girl will need some dental work and immediate hoof care. We believe that she may be pregnant and we will have her ultra-sounded soon. We were informed that one of the Mares did miscarry a foal, but are not certain which Mare. We will check all the mares in this group to determine who is in foal, if any, and who miscarried. We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
