Patience   Patience

Patience came into our rescue program on October 21, 2005. Patience along with two other horses were rescued from Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Patience is extremely emaciated and suffering from a Sinus Infection and rain rot. This poor girl just breaks my heart. Patience is estimated to be around 20 years old. She was weak upon rescuing her and her infection was so set in that she smelled extremely bad. Patience has been started on two forms of antibiotics. We hope that we can get this infection taken care of quickly so that she can start to gain a little bit more weight. We feel that if Patience had not been picked up before the cold front moved in that she may have gone down. She is currently stalled in the barn with a blanket and eating hay and drinking water. This poor girls savior should have come sooner, but she is safe now and back on the road to recovery.

Patience has been adopted to his original owner along with Solomon and Daly. When I say original owner I do not mean the individual that starved and neglected them. Solomon, Patience and Daly have returned home with the gentlemen that really loves these guys and you could tell the horses knew they were going home. It was a happy day and one that I know was right. These guys are on a wonderful lush pasture and are being very well cared for. I will try to get some updated pictures of them soon.
