Ransom came into our rescue program on January 18, 2009. Ransom is a beautiful, 6 year old, Bay, Thoroughbred Gelding. Ransom was injured off the track several months ago with a pulled tendon. Since his injury he has started Cribbing, which I believe he developed due to stress and depression. He no longer had a job and became bored. Ransom needs to put on some weight, but his tendon is fine and he shows no signs of lameness. He is getting some much needed attention and joining a herd, where hopefully, his cribbing will decrease a bit. He is such as Sweet boy! Very loving, such sweet eyes and would make someone an excellent horse. He has a will to please and such a gentle giant. Ransom will be available for adoption soon. Ransom has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and teeth floating. We would like to see Ransom put on some weight before we place him into a new loving, forever home. Update 3-8-09 Ransom is such a great horse and will truly make someone an excellent trail/pleasure horse. He is such a gentle giant and truly wants to please. Ransom Update 4-28-09 -- Ransom rode in our Benefit Trail Ride on April 25, 2009 at Bell Cow Lake and did wonderful. Ransom is a great horse, he never offered to spook or buck. He crossed water, went over logs, did everything beautifully. He has a lot of get up and go and would probably need an experienced rider. He is a lot of fun to ride and would make an awesome Dressage horse, pleasure/trail horse or whatever level you would like to pursue. Ransom has a great personality and is a true sweetheart. He is very eager to please. Ransom is available for immediate adoption. He has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and teeth floating.
Ransom has been adopted to a wonderful family in Derby, Kansas. Ransom is going to be extremely well loved and have the family that he deserves. We are thrilled that is going to get the love, attention and wonderful family he needs and deserves.
