Simba came into our rescue program on January 3, 2010. Simba came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Simba is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. He is estimated to be 7 years old. He is a sweet boy. He has a large sarcoid behind his ear. We are in the process of having it removed. Simba still needs to gain some weight. Simba has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Simba loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. He is a very sweet boy and will make someone a nice horse. We will update as he progresses with his adoption status. Please consider making a donation towards Simba's Rehabilitation.
Update 5/15/10 Simba is now seeking his forever, loving home. Simba had his sarcoid removed from behind his ear and it looks great. Thankfully, it has not grown back and he just has a few minor scars. Of course, you must take it slow putting a halter and/or bridal on his head over that ear, as it is still a little on the sensitive side. I am sure that was extremely painful prior to the removal. He would appreciate someone that understands his past and be patient with him and move slowly about. He is a beautiful boy, stands about 15 hands tall. He can be a bit aloof from time to time, but once you have him caught he is fine. He enjoys being groomed and just receiving some loving attention. He has the will and the want to be someone's best friend. He will be a wonderful horse with the right amount of time and attention. Simba is broke to ride, of course, I would recommend putting some tune up rides in a round pen before trying to hit a trail, etc., We don't know when he was ridden last prior to coming into rescue. He is very smart and just needs someone to love him. Simba has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a forever, loving home, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come see Simba.
Simba has been adopted to a wonderful family in Enid, Oklahoma. Simba is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten with his new family. Simba has joined China in their forever, loving home. We are so thrilled that these two sweethearts have found their forever, loving families where they will receive the time and attention that they deserve
